The Oakmont Art Association is a group of artists, photographers, and other artisans and creative residents who live in the Oakmont Adult Community in Santa Rosa, California (a membership requirement).
The OAA is devoted to the appreciation of the fine arts of drawing, painting, sculpture and photography. Many members are active artists in a wide range of fine art and craft mediums while others engage in the arts through presentations and bus tour visits to the fine art museums in San Francisco and Northern California. Monthly art presentations at the Berger Center in Oakmont feature well known artists, adventurers, and often docents of the San Francisco Fine Art Museums.
Other events feature an annual two-day art show and raffle, monthly artist gatherings to share new works with fellow artists and interested members, a drawing group focused on the challenges and rewards of drawing the human figure, informal gatherings twice a week of studio artists painting together, and occasional plein air gatherings to paint Oakmont's beautiful surrounding vineyards, oak woodlands and historic towns.
We have a monthly newsletter that is emailed to all current members and contains information about upcoming events and activities related to the association.
The only membership requirement of the Oakmont Art Association is that one be an Oakmont resident. If you are interested, contact our Membership Director
