• John Cross, a well known oil painter demonstrated his painting skills at the monthly meeting.
• A small group of artists meet from 7 until 9:30 Tuesday evenings for a Life Drawing class with a live model.
• Mariel Green and several other OAA artists have work displayed in the show of the National American Pen Women held at the Buena Vista Winery.
FEBRUARY , 1993
• The Art Association is raising funds by means of a raffle to buy a large mirror to reflect the work of a demonstrator as he/she works in front of an audience. Sandy Gravitch won the raffle prize this month.
APRIL, 1993
• A docent from the de Young Museum will be our speaker at the May meeting of the OAA. She will talk about "The Art of Teotihuacan, Mexico's Oldest City". The first exhibit ever of this art will be at the deYoung Museum starting in May. A June 16 tour to this exhibit is being arranged by Susan Lee.
• Watercolor classes will start in May.
• A pot luck luncheon will be held in June in the East Recreation Center. The theme will be "Mexico" reflecting our tour to the Teotihuacan exhibit.
June, 1993
• There is an ongoing workshop about painting on silk. If interested please call Mariel Green.
• Barbara Gustafson's "Sketching in Oakmont" class will be held again this summer.
• Paintings will change in the Chalais ( the former Quail Inn) and the Berger Center on Saturday, June 19.
• Charles Gresalfi and his wife have been volunteering at the Children's Home on Pythian Rd. They work with the children on art projects and the children call them Mr. and Mrs. Art.
September, 1993
• Fall watercolor classes for beginners and intermediate painters are starting. Some of the classes will be in the studio,( Room A in the old building) and some on location out of doors.

• The fall gallery show "IMPRESSIONS" will be held in the Berger Center Thursday and Friday, Oct. 7 and 8 from 1:00 until 5:00 PM. THIS IS THE OAKMONT ART ASSOCIATION'S TWENTY-FIRST ANNUAL ART SHOW! THE ART ASSOCIATION WAS ALREADY VERY ACTIVE IN OAKMONT IN 1972.

• As far as we can tell with the records we have available the Oakmont Art Association has been in existence for about 46 years.
November, 1993
• The Annual Gallery Show was a great success. There were over 200 entries. Susan and Rod Lee, Mariel Green and Charles Gresalfi , were among others who worked very hard to make it happen. Charles was responsible for the logo, a rendition of a Mary Cassatt painting, and Mariel prepared the program on her new computer.

• Mariel Green has a show at the Presbyterian Church of the Roses that will be up until after Christmas.

December, 1993
• During the 1993 year the Oakmont Art Association had programs that included a woodcarver/stone chiseler, photographers, oil painters, an "en plein air" artist, and docents from the deYoung Museum. We had two trips to the de Young, one to the Teoatihuacan exhibit and one to see "Flowers in Art. It was a good year.
